Course Description:
This comprehensive visual arts course invites students to explore creativity through a wide range of media, including pencil sketching, watercolor, acrylic painting, collage, mixed media, and sculpture. Emphasis is placed on building foundational art skills while nurturing individual expression.
Students begin by learning the elements and principles of design—line, shape, texture, space, color, and balance—then apply them in personal and collaborative projects. The course also incorporates exposure to both classical and contemporary artists from around the world, encouraging critical thinking about aesthetics, symbolism, and cultural meaning in art.
By the end of the course, students will have developed a personal portfolio, learned how to critique art constructively, and gained the confidence to present their work in exhibitions or school events.
